This family-friendly franchise features a major roster of characters ideally suited for the toy market as well as a wide array of publishing and other licensing opportunities. Sun Wukong (The Monkey King) is a household name in Asia but has never been marketed to a world audience on this scale.
A proprietary social network (www.TheMonkeyKing.com) tied to the movie and video game websites have been created. This network will tie together Monkey King enthusiasts from around the globe, providing a “home base” for cross promotion, merchandising and fan interaction.
Global Star Networks, (GSP NETWORK) an experienced New Jersey-based ISP and developer and host of social networks, is leading this initiative.
Initial design of both the movie site and social network has begun and launch is targeted for Q2 2016.
The Company intends to keep the franchise alive with movie and video game sequels and a planned touring live show based on The Monkey King characters and stories.
